- Login to your computer system with a admin account so that you can access the administrative privilege or any other which has the admin privileges
- Open the Registry, to do so Click Start -> Run -> Regedit -> Ok
- Navigate to subsequent locations: #HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\WinLogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList
- Now, You would find that UserList is selected Right Click on the UserList file and choose NEW, and then choose DWORD value.
- Give that new key the exact same name as the User Account that you want to get rid of from the Xp Welcome Screen (Logon Screen), for example MrXp in our case
- Double-click on the key you have just created (i.e MrXp) and provide it a value of O (Zero)
- You can take this to your reference
- Do not show this user account on the Windows XP Welcome Screen)
- Show this user account on the Windows XP Welcome Screen)
- Close the Registry Editor and Restart Your Computer and You are Done
